Rockies 4, D-Backs 3 (Boxscore)
Hits
Ubaldo Jimenez
The only person more ready for opening day than you or me is Ubaldo.
Jason Giambi
His first inning two-run single was a 390 foot job off the top of the right field wall. What a rocket. He also drew a bases loaded walk that shows the type of patience the veteran slugger has. I think we're pretty lucky to still have him around.
Tucson
Been a nice relationship between the Rockies and the city of Tucson since 1993, but it's definitely time to move on. Looking very much forward to seeing the new facility next spring training.
Misses
Rafael Betancourt
Not a very economical scoreless frame today. Hey, it's the last week of spring... I'm nitpicking for reasons to stay interested.
Rockies media
For over reporting what appears to be a non-story on Huston Street's shoulder today. My apologies to Huston for tweeting that it appeared to be a mental problem more than a physical problem, although I guess neither can be completely ruled out.
