Actually, I don't think any of us will be too picky about Ubaldo's encore performance as long as it results in a victory for the ballclub.
Am I right?
Old friend Livan Hernandez takes the mound for Washington. Folks, Livan hasn't allowed a run yet this season in two starts. His ERA currently sits at freaking 0.00.
I'm going to go on out on a limb here and guarantee that changes today. Livan Hernandez will allow a run. In fact, Livan will allow about 4-5 runs.
My Lineup Card
LF Gonzalez
CF Fowler
1B Helton
SS Tulowitzki
RF Hawpe
C Iannetta
3B Stewart
2B Barmes
P Jimenez
Simulation
Rockies 4, Nationals 2 (11)
Another extra inning game in the simulated series.
Both starters were excellent...
Jimenez: 7 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 8 K.
Hernandez: 6 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 8 K
Helton was 3-for-3 off Hernandez, which is not surprising given his real life history.
Rockies took a 2-1 lead in the 7th on a Stewart sac fly. Josh Willingham then tied it in the 8th with a solo HR off Rafael Betancourt.
After Franklin Morales hurled two scoresless inning, the Rockies finally broke through in the 11th on a Carlos Gonzalez 2-run single. Huston Street once again closed the door for a save in the bottom half.
