Rockies 12, Dodgers 0 (Boxscore)
Hits
Offensive
Fourteen different Rockies had basehits today. Seth Smith was the only guy with multiple hits (3). He drove in three runs with a pair of doubles and a single.
Pitching
Only two different Dodgers had hits today. Ubaldo Jimenez and Greg Smith each hurled 3 scoresless frames. Smith was especially impressive as he looks to strengthen his case to join the Rockies rotation at some point in 2010. Matt Reynolds, Justin Speier and Andrew Johnston each threw a completely perfect inning of relief to close out the afternoon.
Pretty Much Everything
Today was about as well as a team could play in spring training... or regular season... or even playoffs.
Misses
It Doesn't Count
Unfortunately, as well as they played, it won't be remembered tomorrow, let alone a month from now when the games count. Didn't make it any less fun to watch, it just won't matter when Broxton is out there actually pitching and not just working on his fastball.
